RESCHEDULING: XoM3 Front Yard Forager: Weeds as Food & Medicine 03/11/2018

With spring showers and sunshine, we can expect a burst of all things green! Including WEEDS. But is that such a bad thing? Come join me to learn how many common lawn dwellers we fight to clear out can be some of our best allies for nutrition, flavor and wellness!
Plants we'll be learning about include nettles, chickweed, dandelion, black mustard, lamb's quarters and MORE! I may sneak in a few less wild cousins since other great munchies are blooming that may be semi-domesticated, like tart and refreshing wood sorrel. Sauté, smoothie, extracts and infusions support digestion, mineral intake, allergies and liver function. Who knew?! Join me at Cottonwood Urban Farm to discover your very own wild garden apothecary and produce!
