You’ll take home print outs to inspire confidence to trek out on your own with links to source recipes, calculators and ingredient resources, as well as your own co-crafted, customized soap we’ll make together in class!

• The Science of Saponification
• Best practices & safety in cold process soapmaking.
• How to choose and use fats, herbs, spices and other additives to customize your own best bar.

The Details
Steve Fisher, founder of Artborne Custom Artwork, invites you to explore fun, creativity and a little art education, as he guides you to paint your very own acrylic masterpiece on an 11"x14" canvas! You'll get as much instruction as you need, from demo paintings for examples, to how to hold a paintbrush, to discovering your own personal style. All the tools you'll need to bring out your inner artist will be supplied for you. Steve says, "I strongly believe that everyone creates in some aspect, and I want to help bring that out in each and every one of you." Remember, there are no mistakes in art, just "happy accidents"!
Mandy Gough, proprietor and principal herb crafter at XoM3 Botanical Solutions, steps in for the nature and crafting segment of your day with DIY Skincare and Beauty! You'll learn how to take ingredients from your kitchen, and even your own backyard, to craft natural products that help you look and feel your best! For folks interested in gaining a wide array of first aid skills for remote or post-disaster regions, we are offering the unique Wilderness Herbal First Aid Intensive and Certification in Moorpark, CA, presenting Sam Coffman founder & Head Instructor of The Human Path, and hosted by XoM3 Botanical Solutions in conjunction with SunRaven Apothecary with support from Roots of Healing community group.
This 24 hour course taught over 3 days (8 hours per day) includes both a conventional 16-Hour Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Certification through Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), as well as more than 8 hours of herbal first aid training.
Herbal First Aid information is integrated into the curriculum in order to create a holistic model of remote or post-disaster care that emphasizes the essentials of first aid care while also introducing fundamental plant-medicine concepts that apply to austere or post-disaster environments.

The Herbal Medic:

A national ECSI certification card is issued and is valid for 2 years.
